July 14, 2012 at 6:08 am in reply to: Bad blue screen key – How to get rid of edges without losing detail?Basic principal behind keying. To get a great key in many cases u need multiple instances of ur keyer on one movie clip.
Often u will key the hair with one, the body with another, the facial features with another. This takes patience and often some masking. Dont try to do it all with one instance if ur keyer and u will be fine.

Option 1: Track the mountains and sky in mocha… should be easier than the water. Use the resulting mask inversely to color correct only the water. With a feather on the mask you would be surprised how imperfect the matte can be and still be convincing. So don’t even worry about the bushes… just use a basic matte around where the leaves generally are.
Option 2: If I was doing it I would just isolate the lake color in Apple Color and adjust it there. This can also be accomplished with Color Finesse inside AE.

Questions such as these are impossible to answer correctly without at least a still shot of the video… and knowing whether or not the shot is locked off.

To be honest you seem to have no understanding of framerates and resolution. Also you have no understanding of when and why you would need different frame rates on final output. The effort it would take dor someone to fix and explain all the problems you are going to have exhausts me to even think about.
Since you have no base to understand from…. I wish you luck finding someone to go through this with you for free.
My suggestion. Pre production means solving problems before you shoot not just doing it and thinking “I’ll fix it in post.”

There is nothing wrong with your movie… it just sometimes displays like that in quicktime.
