I just have an HD .mov with closed captions.. I just need to extract the CC to an SCC file or something I can convert to an .SCC

I cannot figure this out in quicktime pro
I can see the CC in the properties, hit extract, opens a new movie, I can save that as a new name but it is still a .mov..

    Any help would rock

  • That’s kind of what I was thinking.

  • Curious on this too, just got a Decklink 4k

So I have the BMD Intensity Shuttle working, I have a Sager NP8130 HM65 chip, usb 3.0. I can get HDMI from dvi- hdmi from other computers -HDMI in work but can not get composite in to the Shuttle to work.

Also the shuttle just stopped working on my Dell M6600, it was able to work, at least hdmi in did, had not tested composite yet, but no matter what now it will not find the Shuttle, drivers up to date on both usb and shuttle only things i had done to the dell was install a korg nanoKontrol midi/usb driver and an avertv hd express card.

    Here is the mixer https://www.jvc.ca/en/pro/archived-product-detail.asp?model=KM-1200U

There is no camera. Just encoding BetaCam SP tapes. The way it is running is like this:

2 BNC Composite out to JVC KM-1200, one going to the In5/ gen Lock, the other goes to the BNC Composite IN 1.

Program out goes to the Leader 5860c waveform monitor In A, then Loop Through out to the Leader 5850c Vectorscope In A, loop through out to the computer encoder or monitor for testing. The vectorscope also has an SG-2 Black burst generator connected to the Ext. Ref IN.

The idea was that I wanted to use one Program out of the JVC KM-1200 to go to the testing equipment and the other Program out to the encoder. The reason we need the JVC KM-1200 is just to fade to black at the end of the encode, to do this I set input A to 1 and input B to 5/color- black, then just hit EFF and Auto Take, this fades the Beta Deck with the internal Black of the JVC KM-1200.

I just dont understand why if I run one program out from the JVC KM-1200 to a TV and the other Program out to the test equipment, the TV bars look green as in the picture above.

I dont have formal training, maybe I am missing something with color sync?

  • you can run a matrox mxo2 mini along side the shuttle and mix the two 1080 sources in Resolume… this was done with a dell m6600. Problem is the Matrox has too much delay, almost a half a second.. SD usb capture card will work, it and the shuttle will have maybe a frame or two of delay.. still beats a 20k$ hd mixer :] If anyone knows of an HD capture card with only a couple frames delay that can run on express card or something not needing a desktop I would love to know! seems both the aja and the motu have the same delay as the matrox. cheers
