This is what I did and it just made the clip black.
Maybe it’s something I need to change in prefences?

Well I tried that and I get a black frame
The clip doesn’t get cropped, only becomes black

Buy the way I found the Image matte key and tried to use it
But it doesn’t work well. When I import a Jpeg with a white triangle on a black background I get a black frame. Even after I change the Composite to Luma the clip is just black and the crop doesn’t work…
