    Norman, high 5 to you!

    This is one of most missing things!
    Hope that some more people write here who are missing this (today normal?) feature.

  • Hi Andrew,

    I try this test. The Deck and Multibridge are isolated from the network. Then I start all machines. I do this test 3 times without restarting the machines. My subjective feeling is that the first and second edit has a 1-frame offset from the beginning till end. The third edit was more async, around 3-5 frames, but the start was maybe 1 frame and how longer it runs, the audio goes more out of sync,

    @Paul
    I’m also frustrated but I like to work with the BM & PPro combination and I hope the ghosts from BM will help us!

  • After a large Weekend of testing, here my results:

    First I do *my procedure (description below) and try to using the Blackmagic Deck Control. I capture, playback AND record with the 10-bit BM-Codec. Everything works like a charm! I record the 1 hour clip 3-4 times without restarting the Computer or unplugged the Multibridge! PERFECT!

    Then I start PPro and try to record a timeline like the days before. Failure! The Audio goes out of sync. Ok, quit PPro, go back to the BM Deck Control and try to record the same file that I recorded perfectly minutes before and… it failed! After *my procedure I can record that file again how often I want without problems.

    Ok, I do *my procedure and start with the second test, the Blackmagic DV capture in PPro. I capture a 40Min. clip via Multibridge from my analog DVCPro Recorder (AJ-D 650A), not via system Firewire because I have not a Firewire Recorder/Player. Than I put the Clip in the Timeline and Export it to Tape. Perfect, it works. I record the Clip 3 times without *my procedure and have no problems.

    But…

    …than I thought, it

  • Hi Luke,

    I’m testing last night a little longer (until 4 in the night) and I found something new! I turn off the computer and unplugged the Multibridge for a minute or so. Then plugged in the Multibridge and turn on the Computer, start PPro and export directly 40 min. to tape, IT WORKS PERFECT! When I try to export the timeline directly again, without shot down the computer and unplugged the Mutibridge – the export have the same Problems with unsync audio like before!!! I do the same procedure 3 times and it works all 3 times!

    Today I will do the tests for you but as I wrote before, the clips playing perfect in the timeline preview and playing also perfect in the MediaPlayer. They are 100% in sync! I will try to do the DV capture in Premiere…

  • Hi Luke

    Thanks for your answer but this is NOT the problem.

    First of all, the video is on the right place. Any cut is there where it has to be and no dropping frames. Second, my RAID is pretty quick. The SpeedTest tells me: 192 MBs Read and 176 MBs write. The Disks was up to 70% filled. Third, I read this Note before and bring the Audio on an separate Disk (10.000 upm – WD Raptor 76GB). The LED lights any 2 second for this Disk. Think that tells everything but here is also the SpeedTest: 57 MBs Read and 61 MBs write and its ONLY for Audio!

    I install the Beta-Driver that you
