I’m stumped
The only other thing is to check that background services are switched off(up in the menu bar)
Maybe post on the Avid community and see if you can get other help. -
Yes I don’t think Mxf import at all only link.
Seems you may not have the AMA plug in for the flavour of Mxf. What camera – codec is the Mxf ?
Have a look at what Ama plugs you have installed, – in the project window info tab, and see if you have the appropriate Ama plug for that camera or codec.

I’m on 2018.5 and the same OS, what kind of media are you linking to?
If you just drag from the finder (without the opt key) , the file will import (transcode) -
Where in iFFmpeg do you put that instruction? This would be really helpful as my exports are two mono files that I need to convert to a single stereo file- thanks

Is your luma key nested under your ani matte?
If so I think the lumakey expects to get its input from v1 in the nest , (not the track v1), if you have nothing in the nest on v1 it looks down to layers below. But this logic does not follow unless you have an empty track underneath.
Did I mention logic? -
Yes I’ve experienced this tooo. It went away after an upgrade. What version and os are you on?
Anyway the way I worked around it was to bypass the source browser. With the source browser closed you link with media on your drives like this.
You need to be able to see a window at the OS level browsing your hard drive, and an avid bin. Click (and hold ) on a file(s), hold down the option key and drag the file to the avid bin.
The file should link in the bin and display the link icon.
As with any avid link process this is dependent on the ama Link plugins installed. -
I find it useful to use the bin column in avid to display the “file path” for the Ama clip. Also from an edl you can get a list of all the clips and paste that list into the os “find” command, you need a Bornlean search term ‘ and ,or’ for this to find all the clips. A little app “easy find” (Mac) defaults to this search term.

I’m less sure of my last post now, but it did get me thinking ; because you are now looking at legal video levels on a full range computer screen, all your black levels have been lifted.
So you might be seeing more noise.
Try Ama linking to the file as Shane suggests, and viewing it at the proper black level. -

July 23, 2017 at 12:29 am in reply to: Originally worked in DNxHD36, trying to reconnect to DNxHD175 nowAt this stage in the relinking process I usually confirm to myself that I do actually have the media I need online, I then sub clip part of the sequence that is off-line and take that subclip to a new bin and populated the bin with the Masterclips I need to relink to
Then with the sub-sequences and masterclipsall in the same bin, select all and use the “relink to selected items in all opens command ” to try and get this subclip sequence to link to the new master clips. I do this on a micro level, just one shot, and work my way up to larger chunks of the sequence.
If you have been successful you can edit these newly linked Subclips back into your main sequence.
Do this on a copy of the sequence, in case you need to backtrack for any reason.
Hope this helps. -
I thought the 4444 prorez encoder expected full range, not legal?
