I have the FX 4800 for MAC, It’s older then the 4000 and more expensive. The 4000 will do the job.

I had a similar problem, the audio started playing on the empty part of the track. I have a one minute gap between two aiff files on the same track, it would start playing the first file during the gap. I had to use the mute automation in between files.

I’m unable to override the Blu- Ray 1x burn speed.

I purchased the LG 12x Blu-Ray burner. Don’t let the windows compatable throw you, it works fine with Mac. I use it with my MacPro, MacBook Pro and the IMac at my church. I only used Verbatim and Sony Blu-Ray disk.

I purchased a LG External 12x BE12LU30 bluray burner for my MAC. It only tells you its windows compatible but it works great with MAC (SL & Lion).
For speed I added a Matrox MX02 with MAX sending everything thru Compressor, selecting the Matrox with MAX bluray disc codec.
All the processing is done through the matrox hardware. I shaved 5 hours off my processing time.
