I know this post is quite old, but I have been battling with the exact same issue for the last 12 months or more. Have you ever found a solution to this problem. It is so frustrating! Every time we have done a driver update and settings change we are in a constant battle to know what is in sync and what isn’t. Any advice appreciated! The only solution I have been offered is to buy something other than Black Magic. not really what I want to hear after spending money on it!

  • I did have a similar issue after moving my BlackMagic Decklink into a new system and spent days trying to get it to work. Don’t understand why, buy after I installed the latest version of Quicktime… bingo it worked! Discussed with BlackMagic distributor in Australia, they had never heard of this happening and were surprised when I called back to tell them a Quicktime update fixed it.

  • We are having the exact same issue but with a BlackMagic Decklink Card.
Has been an issue since day 1. Have tried playing with offsets. On some occasions it has not been until a commercial is on air that we have realised it is out of sync, as we assumed the client monitor, using blackmagic hardware would have been correct, and that the delay would also been in the audio. Seems that is not the case. Any ideas on how to correct this or work around would be great!

  • I am so glad I stumbled upon this post. I have spent MONTHS trying to work out what was going on inside premier with my surround!

When first installed it worked perfectly, a month later all the channels were mixed up and no amount of changing assignments was going to correct the issue. The sync issue is a problem though. How have you dealt with this?

My only other related problem is surround in general from other apps and things like youtube videos. As with premier, when first installed surround worked great, but then I lost surround sound in general. Even though premier is now working again, and audition always has, I cannot get surround from my general video playback software or web videos etc. Any ideas on this?

Although I love my blackmagic device, I have been disappointed with the issues and support from blackmagic. They admit to knowing about the sync issue but seem to not really care about it. I was told “It’s a premier problem” so really one could say even though the features state compatible with premiere, it really isnt suitable at this stage. Also no help what so ever when I was trying to get to the bottom of this surround issue!
