Frame offset for external monitor (LED TV) out of sync Premiere Pro / Black Magic

We are having the exact same issue but with a BlackMagic Decklink Card.
Has been an issue since day 1. Have tried playing with offsets. On some occasions it has not been until a commercial is on air that we have realised it is out of sync, as we assumed the client monitor, using blackmagic hardware would have been correct, and that the delay would also been in the audio. Seems that is not the case. Any ideas on how to correct this or work around would be great!

Same here. But using Premiere CS6. I too have a Decklink Studio Card. I have audio from the card to my Mackie 802 and I also have a loop back from my external FSI monitor out, back into the Mackie. Both are off by about 2-3 frames.

Its funny, because once I export a quicktime h.264 for reference, its spot on. Just not able to figure out how to fix in Premiere.

I’m was wondering if my external RAID was an issue, but getting speeds of 280mbps, it shouldn’t be.

Playback is 1080p29.97, fully rendered in timeline at full quality. Just don’t get it.

OSX 10.7.5 with a 3.39 Ghz Intel Core i7 on a built up Hackintosh

Hi Robin,
I am also have having similar audio sync problems running adobe premiere cc with a multi bridge pro 2 which sends sdi out to a hd link which connects to apple dvi monitor. Have tried various delay settings in the premiere playback panel but still not managed to sync up sound with pics.
Any tips you found useful would be appreciated.

Hi Guys,

I wanted to see if you could provide more detail about what your problem is. You said you were having issues getting your monitors in sync. Can you tell me how exactly they were out of sync and what your hardware setup is? i.e. Video in Premiere’s Program monitor plays ahead of external monitor by 2 frames or audio in external speakers plays ahead of external video etc…

If you modify the offset settings for either Video and/or Audio what happens?

I’m having a hard time understanding the playback offset in PPro too. (8.0.1 (21) build with BM 10.1.1 driver using the MiniMonitor with HDMI out to a Samsung TV).

Initial setup has the HDMI display video approx 2 frames later (due to TV processing and possibly miniMonitor processing) than the PPro Program Monitor Panel.

The offset for the ‘Blackmagic Playback’ video device then affects how long before first video is displayed via HDMI, but the delay HDMI/Program remains the same at 2 frames.

Adjusting the offset for audio has no effect whatsoever that I can see, either for Desktop Speakers or Blackmagic playback (both of which are spot on at 0ms).

I’ve recently upgraded to CC and, like you, have the same problem. If you offset the audio and/or video output device by how ever many MS, it makes the problem worse. It feels like the offset is backwards. My Program monitor is spot on with audio that is routed out of my Decklink Studio 2 card into a Mackie 802 and out to my KRK Rokits. And video out SDI out to a Flanders FSI.

However, when I mute Ch. 1 & 2 on mixer which is the direct feed from Decklink and engage Ch. 5-6, which is an audio loop out from my FSI Broadcast Monitor back into the Mackie, the sync is very close. But its still not perfect. So I changed the Audio Playback offset to about 100ms and its pretty good now.

The problem is always having to switch back and forth between the direct audio from Decklink, which sounds bright, crisp and awesome, to the mute those channels and engage the loop, which doesn’t sound nearly as good because the audio out is 1/8″ stereo jack splitter to 1/4″ plugs into the Mackie.

Not a deal breaker, just an annoyance.

I have the same 2 frame issue.

The audio is 2 frames behind, so I need to delay the vision by 2 frames (in my case 80ms)

Delaying the Blackmagic audio in Premiere’s but Blackmagic Playback offset (video) does not work.

iMac 27 inch. PPro CC 2015.
BM Desktop Video 10.5.4
BM Intensity Extreme and Mini Monitor – both at 2 frame delay.

Any help would be amazing.
