I have MC v5 and have a good HD cc output. When I send it to an old HDCam F500, I don’t get cc in EE or off tape. Any ideas?

I am outputting from Avid MC v5 to HDCam. The cc looks perfect on the cc reader but I cannot see cc EE or off tape from the HDCam. All internal settings are correct on the HDCam. This is a early F500. Is it the deck?
