3 hours should easily fit on a 8.5GB disk. If you compress the video at an average bit rate of 5.9 Mbps or less it should fit on the disk. I don’t use Vegas, so I’m afraid I can’t speak to the specifics of how you would go about setting the compression rate on that particular piece of software.

Shortest ceremony: about 3 minutes. It was an outdoor ceremony and started raining just before it got started. The officiant was the bride’s uncle and had a very nice ceremony planned – full of stories about the bride and groom when they were little. Instead, after the bridal party made their entrance the ceremony was basically “Do you…take …to be your wife? Do you…take … to be your husband? I now pronounce you man and wife – let’s get out of the rain.

If I’m not mistaken. turnhere.com pays a whopping $200 to shoot, edit and upload a spot within 24 hours. I wouldn’t go within 2 light-years of them.

If the Canvas or Viewer window sizes are set to something other than 100% the scaling can sometimes result in bad artifacts.

In After Effects use Effect>Stylize>Threshold. I don’t use Premiere, so I’m not sure about how it works there.

Another thing you might consider is your RAM configuration. 10GB is a fairly unusual config. It’s my understanding that for anything beyond 2GB, Macs prefer RAM in multiples of 4GB. You might try pulling out 2GB and see if that helps clear things up.
