    MXF is video.
    DNG is stills.
    Not a relevant post.

  • In Media Encoder right click on a Preset and choose Create Ingest Preset…

    That’s it.
No idea why these posts are soooo long, and so vague.

NOTE: If you use subclipping the linking from the edl to the footage won’t function.

This is what I’ve learned with SpeedGrade so far:
    1) If you use Prelude to ingest DO NOT use the sub-clip function. Either log using comment markers, or import clips directly into Premiere & Log there. The reason being step 2 won’t work –
    2) When you have finished your cut export the sequence as an EDL.
Create a timeline in SpeedGrade using the EDL.
Navigate in teh Desktop tab to the folder containing your source clips.
In the Reels tab click on “Load from Desktop” to relink your footage.
This way there is no transcoding between Premiere & SpeedGrade saving a generation & disk space.
    3) I’m still working on the return route, so if someone is out ahead of me please let me know what the best workflow to return is?

    Thanks.

I got around the problem by exporting the project as an edl from 5.5 then setting a new project with the correct settings & importing the edl then relinking the media.
Pain in the A-hole, but works (except for key-framed audio)

    I have teh same problem.
The project opens / converts / imports correctly and is playable & editable.
But once the project is closed & reopened the error “This project contains a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preset preview file or codec could be associated with this sequence type.”
The project contains Canon 5D Mk11 footage.
    Anyone got a solution?
