Well, one advantage is that Win64 give 32bit applications access to the entire 4GB memory space, whereas Win32 only gives 2GB (unless you use the 3GB switch). I have a Dell 690 running 8GB and while I see no real speed increase, it seems to work fine.

We use DVD for archival backup of our data. With 8X and 16X widely available for a miniscule amount, it really begins to make sense as an inexpensive and reliable backup. As to your question earlier about the reliability between a DV master and a DVD, I would have to go with the DVD. DVD
