    Hello Scott:

Thank you very much for the advice. Makes sense, I was just hoping to avoid the extra expense since 99.9 percent of my shooting comes with AC, so I elected to use the factory-type batteries as a cost vs. use deal.

I greatly appreciate you going to the trouble to respond.

    Hi Pete,

I may just try that before I give up the idea. I’m also getting some local feedback that some folks have had more luck with the DVD-R DL versus the DVD+R DL.

If I do have success with one, I will post it.

    Thanls!

    Eric,

You’ve been a tremendous help. Thank you.

I’m still exploring the pan issue. The project matches the source, so I’m looking at several other angles including the computer itself to determine if Vista has issues running Vegas, etc.

    Hello Eric,

I can’t tell you how muce I really appreciate your help. I think I’m stuck with some of the blur because of the shutter speed. I’m just going to try and edit with shots that have as little movement as possible.

The only issue I have now is really wierd. On some pans, it appears “jerky” or jumpy. However, it definitely isn’t on the tape that way. I think I’ll try rendering in the highest settings possible and see what happens.

Again, thanks a lot for sharing your expertise.

Thanks to ALL of you. You’ve given me a lot of possible solutions.

First, I have been rendering everything in HD-720p and then trying to convert to the DVD. Based on what you folks are saying, I should be rendering the HD product in Sony Vegas 8 directly to MPEG2.

    I’ll try all this.

    THANKS!!

Thank your for responding. I’ve been out of town and unable to see my e-mail.

I shot a lot of film and video in the past, but I’m brand new at 24p work.

    Hi Dennis!

Thank you for responding. The live look in the on-camera pop-out monitor looks fairly decent, but when I add an LCD monitor to the composite video out it looks pretty bad.

    Again, Thanks,
    Mark
