I am not having any luck with this. Here is what I have tried:
1) I made a new partition and installed XP and did a fresh install of Avid 2.8. I tried to read the files and still half the files (the same ones as before) show the A1 track offline.
2. I deleted the two database files and restarted Avid, no change.
3. I disconnected the hard drive, and copied my original backup of the OMFI MediaFiles folder into the root directory of the new partition with XP on it; deleted the database file; and then copied my project folder over to the root directory, as well. Restarted Avid and still it can’t see half the A1 audio tracks.
So now I have replaced the OMFI folder, the database folder, the Operating System, and Avid, and it still sees the same A1 tracks offline. Could it be something in my project folder? Is there a setting somewhere in Avid that I could have accidently changed to set the files to offline status?
I just don’t get this??/
