Thanks for taking the time to reply, it really is appreciated.

I decided to go freelance earlier this year and I’ve quickly realised after years of exclusive photoshop use, that I WANT and must move in to Motion Graphics & 3D if I want to move forward here and ‘out there’. I’ve seen what’s capable through Demo reels and I can’t begin to tell you how energized and to be honest…excited I am by what is possible.

I live on a very small Island in the middle of the Irish Sea. The opportunities here for letting your creativity flow professionally are virtually zero. I want to get this software nailed so I can project on screen what’s inside my head, like we all do. I’m also an electronic musician so an ideal place for me to be would be combining both somehow in the future….how? no idea! I’ll have to move to L.A! :O)

Thanks for the quick reply.

I wouldn’t post without a thorough search, I’m honeslty not that lazy. It is the lack of results which prompted me to post in the first place.

I’ve noticed that this motion art appears to be referred to in a number of ways, which is part of my search problem.

Motion text, Kinetic Type, Textacy, Flyby Text, etc..etc.. You would expect this to assist in search results, not so. It is very, very frustrating as the technique is so widespread.

I have found tutorials that ‘touch’ on the subject, but nothing of real substance that I can get my teeth in to.

I can assure you I have spent a lot of hours (and some cash on reputable tutorial DVD’s) that still haven’t been that clear, it’s driving me nuts now.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.
