I’m on 5.0.4 and wondered if the problem had been addressed in the latest version.
Good advice Walter but its a work around, surely you would agree that: Command T and the ‘ole right click should work in a logical manner?

heh, thought that was quite succinct … for me!
Get two clips in your timeline butted together, your first clip needs some tails, the second clip starting on its very first frame.
Now try to make an after splice dissolve between them.

(whish …I could spell properly )

    Hello Dogfather
What about adjusting the levels of your “black” clips so that they become bright? – bet here would be some detail in there but also lots of noise.

Ahhh yes, that works great! You are a saint …..
I have been mistakenly creeping through the admin/index.php for two days using trial and error.

    Thanks SO much.

Ive been using it since cosa 1 and am having trouble feeling totally at home with the new layout – the main drawback for 7 is that option click (hide tha app) is an intermittent thing now.

  • I set my system to use option key too, you have to press the option key as you set the system shortcut

Thanks for that – its the dynamic preview that I have a problem with – as I draw my mask the res changes and then I cant see exactly where it needs to go. I have turned off the fast preview setting for now , I thought there was a key to “preview” where the mask line was going before you click it into place?
    cheers

[Jon Okerstrom] “Invigorator uses UV mapping to determine how the map is applied. That fact is likely the root of the problem and key to the solution”

Thanks a lot Jon , as soon as I fixed the UVs on my maya model all is fine.
    regards
