If you bring it up in the trimmer, do the media markers show then. I was thinking it was a fluke today when I tried it, but the markers did not show up as media labels until I saved the project and restarted SVP 13 again. I just tried with a wav file and it worked, but I had to relaunch Vegas again. I’m pretty sure it was working before without a restart.

Vegasaur (https://vegasaur.com/Vegasaur) has a demote marker option to convert regular markers to media markers.
Otherwise when you drag the clips around you have to turn on auto-ripple with one of the options that moves markers too. I did this for a while and eventually saw the value in Vegasaur.

I use the standard template for AC-3 Pro but that is at 192Kbps stereo and I don’t get the recompress message. I stick to the default templates based on years of recommendations on this forum as DVD Architect is particularly strict about what it expects.

I’m thinking the video driver is messing up your preview. Have you tried turning off GPU acceleration under Preferences/Video? If that works then try finding a different driver (newer or older) for your video card. If you bypass the Cookie Cutter effect, does the preview show the original media properly in the preview window (no strange rectangles)?

It works like that for me too in Vegas Pro 10, 11, 12 and 13. I even checked the 32bit version of 11. When you are shift clicking on the same track, it is selecting the whole event(s) between the clicks. So the Ctrl-Shift tells it not to select whole events and just highlight. I did not see anything in preferences that would change that.

You only need to render the audio and that should go really fast compared to the video.

In DVDA choose Properties under the File menu. It allows you to set the bitrate. The goal is to make it match exactly the Blu-ray template you used in Vegas to render the video stream file (probably AVC). I used the Sony AVC 16Mbps last time.

Make sure the dvda properties match that 25mbs nitrate the template has. If the nitrate is less in the project settings in dvda then it will render the whole file again.

Here is an example. I had to work a little harder to get the 0 to show in the video. This one used Vegasaur Text generation Wizard stepping by 3 to finish around 20s. I turned off the Loop switch and extended the event a little to make sure the 0 frame got rendered to the file.

Vegasaur was able to create a count down timer with their text generation wizard. I think I messed up and it made it a minute long, but then I just time-stretched it back to a 20s duration.
