  • Hi Michael,

Replacing backup battery is quite simple procedure. If you are technicaly inclined you can do it by yourself by openning operator side of the camera and you’ll see battery in lower right corner of that panel.
It is standard battery and available in RadioShack stores.
Do not force anything and replacement should go smoothly. You will just have to set a time and date on the camera after replacing old battery.
If you do not feel comfortable doing that please bring camera to camera repair center or contact me for instructions.

Gamma Corrector is being mostly used in post environment where AJ-GBX27 Gamma Corrector converts video recorded with FilmRec mode to desired output. You can convert tapes recorded with FilmRec for correct exposure, bringing midtones up and adjust contrast with look up tables that are included in the unit. Now video is gamma corrected and except maybe for color correction it is ready for broadcast.
Another common use in the filed is to preview FilmRec video on production monitor. Righ now only small Panasonic BT-LH900 monitor has built in Film gamma corrector so AJ-GBX27 Gamma Corrector allows to use any large monitor on the field and see properly adjusted images.
