It’s definitely slower. I believe I posted 3 pictures of my settings and stuff, but the CPU is AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE. Using the CPU, it takes about 25-30 minutes to render a 10 minute video.

I am recording gameplay of various games, but my recording software’s settings are always the same. By slow I mean, for example, a 10 minute video renders for about 15-20 minutes. And to answer the 2nd question, I had a 9800GTX+ before and the render times were the same. By the way, GPU-Z shows, while rendering, that GPU load is 0%.

Decided to upload these screens of my Sony Vegas render settings and my dxdiag.

I wish to ask really quick. Is it possible that AMD will release a patch for this?

It’s not a huge problem for us, but saving 12 minutes from each rendered video does add up in the end. I forgot to mention that our videos are recorder with the MPEG-1 codec. Small in size and good in quality. We’re thinking that could be the problem.

Ahh yes, pardon me. Indeed we tried the MainConcept AVC encoder, but again, for a graphics card as good as his (considered a high-end card) the render time is still very slow (18 minutes/10 minute file). Same goes with Sony AVC encoder. We’ve read some thing about OpenCL working way slower in 13.1-13.3 Catalyst drivers than 12.1, thinking that might be the problem. While we try out the older drivers, could someone suggest something else?
