    Thnx for Your answer…

What I need it for is editing HDV materials – in which (if I learned well from various podcascts and reviews) it helps somehow downconvert workflow while downloading and still exports the movie in again origianly upgraded solution…

If I even got it right, how can I be sure that I have that codec (can I see its existance anywhere) and, more important, HOW DO I MANIPULATE IT from within AVID EXPRESS HD PRO…

Is there an option to “TURN IT ON/OFF” or something like that???

    THnx!

    Hello Wes!

Thnx for helping me try to find NDxHD codec for Windows.
I went to site You linked me to (AVID KNOWLEDGE BASE – DOWNLOADS)….

And what I found was 3 codecs:

    1. AVID QUICKTIME CODECS LE 1.20 (Sep 27)
    2. LATEST AVID CODECS FOR MAC AND PC (Aug 24)
    3. AVID MERIDIEN CODEC FOR POST PRODUCTS… (Apr 10)

Now, can You tell me if I was at the right place and if DNxHD codec is part of one of those 3 codec packs?
Do I just install one of them and there it is?

How do I know I have it in my AVID XPRESS PRO DV (5.6.2)?
I installed AVID QUICKTIME CODECS LE that I have on my installer CD, but nowhere I find the track of DNxHD…

Where from within AVID XPRESS program do I manipulate with it???

    Hope You can help!

    Thnx!

    Hello there!

Sorry for bothering You, but I have a great favour to ask You for!

Can You please e-mail me that codec (I am using WinXP) —

Reading about it all arround, from AVID site I downloaded 200MB version of NDxHD codec source, but don’t know what to do with it… It doesn’t have any .exe file or any extension known to me (maybe You know what to do with it???)

Or maybe You know some link to site where I can download it from?
    Thnx!

  • Yeap, new the clean installation of Windows SP2 took care of everything….

I knew it must be connected to it, but I was avoiding the total re-intall, cause on this image I have allready installed Premiere 6.5 with important FFX movie effects, PPRO 1.5, cause of Magic Movie Film Effects, AfterEffects 6 cause of great chromakey plugin….

And on top of all of that I used to install Adobe Production Suite with PPRo2, Audtion2, After Effects7, PhotoShop9, Encore 2 etc…

It worken many times (almost before every new project I would go and run that immage and just install Adobe Production Suite with the freshiest versions..

But this time after I did it, it just faild to open 2 months old (not touched ) project – which is very complicated 45 minutes documentary with 15 hours of footage and tones of keyframing for sound, and lot of music and many transitions and Colour Correction effects etc….

So, I guess it just needed a freah jung WinXP SP2 (Yeah, the old Image was SP1, so everytime I had to update it to SP2 before installing PPRO2…. But, now I’ve istalled directly SP2, so I am sure that is better and more stabile sollution then updating anything!:)

Thnx anyway!!!! You were absolutely right!!!!

  • Sorry I’ve posted this one twice, when I tried with my old account (SuperOperater) thay said it is no more in use… Therefore I had to make a new one…

    Sorry, again!
