Hello Gentlemen and thank you for your quick response and assistance. I brought the unit home and spent several hours testing formats. It did not play mp4, m4v or mov. I had been using a CF card and decided to use a SD card on my new MacBook Pro. I accidentally left my daughters video footage onto her SD card and the darn thing played. The file extension her camera kicks out is ASF.

Supports FILE LIBRARY : File directory management. – Does this mean my file has to be in a folder DCIM????? How do I export to ASF???

Any other thoughts? Thank you again. Maria

Any idea how I would make this into a template? I was thinking of the FCP file as a template (along with scratch disk and needed files). Thank you to everyone, we have a contractual agreement about the fcp file, I just wanted to inform my client if it was even an option for her to copyright it. She is interested in the copyright.Thank you again. Maria

Thank you John, trashing the preferences fixed my problems.

Thank you too Amir, how do I get rid of the out mark on the clip? So sorry to ask such a simple question, there was definately a out mark on in my viewer/clip.
