In 2 or 3 year we may already see 100 gig thunderbolt.
Then it really does not matter any more. External box for gpus etc is all good.

I think most machines will still work but new ones is hard to get as there is non.
Even my 2007 pro still runs really good.
To go even back in time Shake is working also but you can not buy it.
Server side was given of to friendly company that serves the xserve people now.
Maybe this will also happen with pro machines.—

This 8500 boxx starts from 8500 what seems to be really entry level wo any memory etc 🙂

as far as we can do our business it does not matter.
i would be missing osx. i hate win in that sense. maybe linux licenses could be
obtainable in the future.—

This one just explodes and is about twice mac pro.

I hope BOXX machines on win will be supported then or somebody will make it work on efi with osx and boxx.

Performance in mind 470 is better but is not officially supported.
Price is also about 2x less compared to 4000.You should dig this forum a bit.
