Yes, I just did this and thanks for the explanation. Here is the current problem that I discovered. This is not a keylight issue, it looks like this is an after effects issue. I shut off keylight and the “noise” is still there over the blacks. I think it might be a setting in after effects????

“If you are using keylight, instead of using the final result, try using the intermediate, seems to work better when I do that.”

Another thing you can do is just take your “original” footage and drop it below the keyed footage-then just change the track matte of the original unkeyed footage to alpha matte.

now this is a great idea, but I am using apple pro res and I don’t think there is a render option with the alpha channel???? If there is I will definitely try this.

It’s not the headphone outputs. The cables are good, but I dont have them running through a mixer. I cannot recreate the popping or clicking, it’s happens when I restart the computer or open Final cut or Log and capture?

No, no decks, capture cards,or mixers. The speakers are hooked up in the back of my G5, the 1/8 mini stereo input.

Ok, I have a pair of Roland MA-8 Speakers–4 external hardrives daisy-chained–and I have my computer and things running though my APC 1500 Batterie Backup/Power Cleaner.

But what exactly will happen to the quality when I export it to a quicktime movie? And compress it in bit vice to MPEG 2?
