How can I view a quicktime movie on an external TV monitor?

There is “SimpleVideoOut” a small app that will play a QT movie directly out from the Mac via FireWire.
It can be recorded to DV tape WITHOUT FCP,
or viewed using the camera’s video outs connected to a video monitor.
