I take it thats the universal command to ‘show all’ in the timeline?

We Trashed the prefs a week or so ago and I regularly repair permissions. FCP hasn’t been right for our system for sometime now can’t really put our finger on the problem. We have had some issues with crashes with a BM Decklink Studio card but I wouldn’t of thought that could screw with internal workings of FCP??

I don’t want to record the output just use the HDMI into a small HD TV for monitoring purposes. We are doing TV commercial so we are looking at generally static lit shots so movement will be minimal.

Thanks for that Malcolm. I have been swayed towards the 5D because of the sensor size but found out that you can only monitor in HD from the 7D due to its HDMI output something that the 5D hasn’t got. That is a big factor for me

Yes I know its not an editing codec I think the client is only using it because he want to keep file sizes down when transferring media (via Dropbox) He has mentioned that wehn he has tried ProRes LT it looks terrible.
