    Hi

That has definitely I didn’t know that about the Reflection & Environment, thanks!

Now I’m having trouble exporting the file from AE because even though I have selected Alpha in the C4D render settings AE is not rendering out the file with an Alpha channel….what could that be?

    Much appreciated!

After going through some of the individual files/layers of the multi pass I can see that the ‘diffuse layer’ & the ‘matt colour layer’ have the original rgb values and look how I want the colour to look. Its only when the whole accumulation of the layers happens that the colour becomes washed out. The only think that I can think of is that it is something to do with the reflective surface that I have put on in C4D???

Don’t really understand what is going on.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have only had this error message once today so its not a recurring thing. Didn’t know about the Photoshop layer thing nice to know although I seldom use Photoshop files in FCP generally TGA’s

None of the above. Using XDCAM 1920×1080 (and have done for a long time) without any problems.

    Thanks

I’m not entirely sure how it works but can’t you just take the raw media files from card after recording with the EX1 and convert to ProRes and use that media in FCP X then archive the, it is, the BPAV file?

Yes I know you can I’ve seen the reports but I was asking because it might be safe to run on a separate drive incase there is some kind of conflict that might occur thats why I asked.

    Thanks anyway.

Yeah I did and have done that I was just wondering whether there were any other techniques out there to specifically do that kind of thing like put a certain filter on etc. I’ll just keep doing it the way described.

    Many thanks

    Hi thanks for the reply

I do have a ‘proper’ broadcast monitor along with a 40″ TV the broadcast monitor is used just a an overall reference and the broadcast monitor used to check everything else. The original question was just asking how to tame the reds so I knew how to adjust them.
