July 27, 2011 at 4:00 pmNone of the above. Using XDCAM 1920×1080 (and have done for a long time) without any problems.
Thanks

July 27, 2011 at 4:19 pmPhotoshop files with blank layers can cause this error message. It’s pretty common…

I have only had this error message once today so its not a recurring thing. Didn’t know about the Photoshop layer thing nice to know although I seldom use Photoshop files in FCP generally TGA’s

July 27, 2011 at 11:12 pmThis error message isn’t about how much RAM you have. It is common in FCP and usually caused by stills images that are too big.
A quick search of this forum for ‘memory’ should show the oft repeated suggestions for fixing this issue.
