It’s MXO Version 2.1.6.003. I have a Dell E207WFP as my desktop, and a 24″ Dell (I forget the model) as my second display that I run through the MXO 2.1.6.003. I’m running OS 10.5.8, FCP version 6.0.6.

Thanks Andy. My playback settings are not set to digital cinema. I have a wireless keyboard at the moment, and Cmd F12 only turns up the volume. I do get video from the MXO. And as I’m reading this I can see the canvas window displayed in the second monitor. When I move my mouse pointer over I can see the pointer on the second monitor, but when I click on the window, the screen dips and becomes full screen again with no mouse pointer and no controls.

Great idea Jeff, but unfortunately it did not cure the problem, though the font has now defaulted to something else all together. Very strange.

Yes, HV20 = HDV. The clips are off line, but after my post I checked and the off line clips were in Pro Res 422, the newly recaptured footage was HDV. So I did manage to locate a backup with at least some of the missing footage on another drive. I’ve been able to reconnect but only manually and by selecting “all files”. Anything else and the files are grayed out. I’m going to recheck tonight to see if everything still synch’s up. But I wasn’t able to reconnect the off line media that I had renamed through FCP.

I get the same thing with P2 footage. Might be from the spill suppressor settings? I can’t seem to find a happy spot where the spill goes away and the lines don’t appear after render.

The other thing to look out for is the zoom control. The same camera that wouldn’t shut down suddenly went into auto zoom and stayed there. I’d have to manually hold back the button, and as soon as I did, it took off. That’s another common issue.

We had that same problem with one of our HVX200’s. It’s a know issue. Sent it back to the factory and it works fine now. Hope you’re still on warranty.

    Sweet. Works now. Thanks Steven.

  • You nailed it Dennis. Thanks. I switched to ProRes 422 1440 x 1080 60i and it works again.
