What about media files which are not CAPTURED but directly copied from sd cards of jvc 700 . Should i edit them directly with blackmagic preset or do i need them converted first

Man caliberated q has some good codecs but you should just use this free program, it just reqraps mov files in windows editable mpg files, and mind you it dosent change the file in compression , the file is as good as mov file originally recorded .

Hello i am having hell of bad time with blackmagic extreme on cs5, we just bought cs5 in office and had to start new projects on cs5 and now all 3 editing tables are in a chaos,every one knows its too much time waste to keep on installing uninstalling any of adobe cs4 or cs5,\
have done same with 7.6.4 and not to forget it reboots every time. So please can you point out to a forum explaining how i can copy settings to cs5

Hello I live in India , and my hd extreme card is totally absent in cs5 , now i dont know whom to contact in my region, of course retailers dont even have a clue about any of the issues they are only selling , so is there any list of SUPPORT CENTERS of blackmagic in all the regions
I have downloaded 7.6.4 but it dosent even show up in cs5 any solution?

That was helpful. Actually i shoot in full hd and edit it on windows platform and blackmagic extreme hd card. And when we finish editing we have to deliever the end product to the client in mpeg format and Standard Definition Resolution so that they can give it directly to broadcasting channels. -
Yes thats what i am talking about. SO the conclusion is i have bought a black magic hd extreme 2 card thinking i bought the latest with 4:4:4 option. Now its not undoable but i really urge black magic guys to give decklink some version number so atleast if someone is buying he knows what exactly version he is buying and is it an old or the latest one. To my surprise the only thing written on all of decklink boxes including old hd extreme 1 is DECK LINK HD extreme full stop . And here you see the example of a customer who bought some older version of card just coz it was not specified . By the way i am damn happy with it too, the only problem is it is saying i need premiere pro version 4.01 !!!!

Same problem here i use PRO-HD RECORDER/PLAYER BR-HD50U that too only delivers mpeg compressed . can anyone tell how to acquire uncompressed hdv footage from any jv camera or deck.
i mean i cant acquire it through any firewire ycrb etc . If i cant get footage this time i guess i have to quit using jvc hdv
