I know that it does both, is there anyway to separate those two functions? It seems insane to take away the ability to rasterize a layer without completely screwing up the layers.
Thanks, Walter! I will watch that tutorial. I had no idea that that switch did anything other than continually rasterize, but it has been messing up my renders and compositions heeps…Can’t imagine why on earth AE would make that the same switch…
Still haven’t found a solution to this. Seem like the continuously rasterize switch causes some very weird problems throughout the comp…I can’t figure out if it’s something I’m doing wrong or a bug…
I finally figured out by deselecting the continuously rasterize switch on one particular composition was what was preventing AE from previewing…That’s a neat new bug.
This would be fine, but my comp is not continuously rasterizing now and looks like crap…
Laslty, there’s one specific composition that seems to be screwing everything up. If I delete it, the rest of the comp previews fine… Is it possible that one composition can be corrupted even if that composition only consists of solid layer shapes generated within AE?
For some reason, screen cap didn’t record the error message, but I also get,
“After Effects error: Preview needs 2 or more frames to playback” any time I push spacebar when I clearly have more than 2 frames within the work area.
