  • Never used shake, but have ahad a chance to use Combustion more than once. I loved it. I very powerful, solid application. If I were to learn any other 2D app, I definitely be leaning towards Combustion.

AE can only get you so far? Is this blasphemy I hear?!

    (Just kidding)

oh, thanks for that tip Darby! I probably would have just desaturated it using hue and saturation.

So what exactly is the difference between the tint effect and just desaturating it?

cool. Good adice guys. I’l l be doing some tests today.

Oh and this is pretty much a one mna show. I’m lighting, shoting, editing it. So, if the DP screws up, I’ll know who to go to =P

  • If you’re talking about what I’m thinking you’re talking about, then it just looks like a quick series of matte stills. Take pics of paint and then turn them into mattes. Put them on the timeline in quick succession and see what it looks like

Do the fire flies have to affect the objects around them? If not, then you could probably just add a simple light, play with the parameters, and move it around. Maybe add some particles to it?

okay, I was going to mess with the 3d floor layer’s Z space, but that would have been a pain in the underparts being that it was already timed to music and such.

I just ended up turning off the 3d layer mode on the walls layer and had them slide in from the side. much easier. They concealed the floor as they should.

    Thanks for your help!
