    Great advice friend.

hahahaha, love nothing more than creating those old school practical effects. I would still do it if these projects allowed the time.

    hmmmm…that’s an idea.

To be clear, this really isn’t film that I’m burning. This is spot for a steak house. So, lot’s of flames and such. I’m kinda using the film burn as a transition.

I know that this is primarily a technical forum, but I kind of wish there were more threads like this.

I wouldn’t know what I’d do without this incredible resource.

We should make a collage or something in their honor eh?

I’d like to especially thank Dave LaRonde, Darby Edelen, Kevin Camp and Steve Roberts.

Not too say that the others aren’t extremely helpful, but these guys always seem to be around with some good advice.

Thanks for the advice. It seems like I might have been having a bit of trouble with a time warp effect.

I also just shut the system down for an hour and came back. It rendered the rest out fine.

Well, because of time constraints, I had to employ a crude work around. I’m not sure why I could not mask the wave form. Maybe I just need to restart or some thing (the comp has a lot of effects).

Dave, the reasons that I can not simply mask the building are many. I’ll post the whole situation tomorrow when I have more time.

I really appreciate your guys help.

    Thanks!

Effect > Generate > Audio spectrum.

I wanted to mask out a portion of the wave form so that a building could go in front of it. No, I can not duplicate the building and place it in front of the wave form.

I need to be able to mask the actual layer/comp that the wave form is applied to.
