So how exactly does one capture audio using that program? I use final cut pro, and I capture audio off of dv tape, or with a camera pass-through with firewire. With an audio program can you capture directly using the mic input on the computer? Or will they need some type of firewire setup from the mixer? Sorry for sounding like a dope!

Thanks all. I talked to the tech guy at my replication facility, he agreed with you that DVD Studio Pro should be fine. It seems the problem lay with the authorer, not the software! So I’m going to proceed with DVDSP. Deep pockets? I haven’t even got any pockets anymore!!!!!

Thanks, I’ll look into it. DVD studio pro isn’t really acceptable for professional reproduction, we’ve had problems with dvds authored on that. I thought video symphony was gone, they must have moved.

One more question, is the aja io la portable enough that I can use it on more than one computer in separate locations? Thanks!

Once again, excuse my ignorance, but if it is a card that I install in the hard drive, what do I plug my various analog cables into for input?

Shoot, I don’t know. I didn’t know about the Kona. All I know is that one is $899, and the other is more like $1,899. I’ll have to do more research! I think I’m referring to the io vs. the io la.
