Been using it for over two years now and still can’t find anything better at reducing the noise over detail ratio. You’ll have to spend a little more time learning how to use it though. Unlike typical blur type filters, it works by getting a sample of plain noise and “subtracts” this noise pattern on your video. You have to look for a sufficiently large blank area in your video that contains no detail and just plain noise and use this to “program” the noise reduction. The bigger the area the better. An ideal sample would be a close-up video of a grey colored card held by your subject. I now make it a habit to always look for a plain area within the scene such as a blank wall and shoot a a few seconds of it as my noise sample.
