Try the same project in Vegas 14 too.
What I see here was another bug in GPU acceleration of Vegas 13.
The very similar happened to my video, when I wanted to use an image cropped to 1:1 (square).Vegas 14 fixed it.

I also often use this method to draw a border, because it works for any shape, not just a rectangle. ?
However, Vegas 13 has a bug in GPU acceleration, so that it makes impossible to use glow/shadow this way for this purpose.
So this bug dove me really nuts!There are possible workarounds:
-very best option: upgrade to Vegas 14, that bug is fixed there
-disable GPU in Vegas 13 (you’ll lose much preview/rendering power)
-use the glow with intensity 100%, blur set not lower than 0,3. That gives somewhat more soft and more rounded edges, but still works.Best regards

Hi,
First backup all your important data from your HDD.
What you described makes me think you rather have some problem with your computer than Vegas itself. What the problem is I don’t know, but your disk may be on its way to heaven. I don’t know if this is the case, but having a backup doesn’t hurt in any way.
So first backup everything important.Do you have enough free space on your disk?
Do you have other issues, or is it just Vegas that behaves weird?
How is the health of your HDD? (You can check it with HD Sentinel https://www.hdsentinel.com/download.php )If your HDD is healthy (condition 100%):
Did you install anything new recently?
(Possible windows updates, automatic driver updates, etc…)
Can you perform a system restore to a date when Vegas worked well?Best regards

Is it possible, that you added some third party effect, like Newblue, or something, that is not activated?
Did you try any of the stock Vegas effect? Say for example Color curves.

Hi, looks like you are using interlaced footage marked as progressive.
(So there’s no deinterlacing.)
