    Hi Shane,
I’ve got MC 3.5, Avid Mojo 5.0.1 (not the DX), Windows XP- professional 32 bit, service pack3, Nvidia Quadro FX 1500, Intel core 2 quad, Q9400 @ 2.66GHz, 2.67GHz, 3.24 GB of RAM, Drivers – 182.67, Direct X version 9.0c

Is that the info you needed.. I tried to give you as much info as I had.

So, do you think if I got the Mojo DX, it would work with what I’ve got? I’m not trying to break the bank… I do this freelancing from home… but still need to show my clients (some of my producers sit in for the edits) instead of showing the full-screen playback on my monitor. I’m sure you understand.

I just ordered a converter (Composite, S-Video, and HDMI® to HDMI® Converter and Switch w/ HDMI PAL NTSC Support). I thought I had exhausted all my options… with regards with how to convert things (only talking to sales people) – I think this will work… hoping so anyway!

Ah – I see, you mean edit to the timeline from the device (don’t ingest the footage) and then when timeline is complete – just link and only bring in what I used. Good idea – but I don’t think I have that AMA feature. I thought I did – but someone said I didn’t. For my version. I have yet to upgrade due to finances. But hopefully the work will keep steady and I’ll be able to get the new MC with a whole new tower and nitrous box.

For now, I’ve been bringing in all my footage into a bin and then editing accordingly.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Thank you Brendan,

I converted them all to mov clips – in movavi converter. I just don’t know if it “chaged” the video – since I’m not sure what the original looked like. I took FOREVER to bring into the avid (there is a lot of video) – but the ingest was a little over 24 hours.

I just downloaded MPEG Stream clip – just in case I need to go back and do that for the producer.

    Thanks everyone for your help!

    Yes Richard, Sorry – I got confused. It’s the XDCAM-EX intraframe codec.PMW-EX1, the PMW-EX3 – yes.

Hi Richard – I do have all the information… it’s all things in each clip folder – I have the mp4, SMI, PPN, XML and BIM.

    I know about upgrading… I just don’t have the funds right now…

BUT – it’s not from an XD cam – I have no problems using the AMA with XD cam – I use that all the time. I do have it that feature.

Thank you Alex! Looks like I’ll need a new tower with the upgrade… as well as the new mojo dx. Yikes… Well, I better get working so I can afford the new system!

    Wish me luck guys.

Thanks Shane… all good information. I do not have the DX… but good to know. I’ll look into getting all the upgrades… and make the move up.

I have & use the Mojo (not sure if it’s DX). My OS is -Windows XP, 32 bit, Service Pak 3, Nivida Quadro FX 1500, drivers – 182.67, Direct x version 9.0c, Intel core 2, Quad CPU, Q9400@ 2.66 GHz, 2.67 GHz, 3.24 GB of RAM. I also have a bunch of additional storage (not sure if that matters)

    Does this help any?

I just checked the Avid site – they don’t list the MC 6.5.4., only MC7 – but the upgrade is reasonable. Of course – if I don’t have to get a whole new tower…

Thanks again Shane for your help. I really appreciate it.
