Tried replacing the VOUT from 8.2.2 – no success.

Then tried replacing all M100 QT elements from 8.2.2 – no success.

Only thing left was the M100 Daemon from 8.2.2, – that worked.

The preview is back in all AE versions with the M100 Daemon from 8.2.2.

The export to IPOD still doesn’t work. It does about 8 or 9 frames and then errors out.

I have 2 systems that are doing the exact same thing.
With a clean install on a fresh drive of 10.4.5 and QT 7.0.4 pro and 8.2.3, I am not
getting the preview in AE 6.5 or 7.0. Same error “Could not open video component”
    Works fine in 8.2.2.

I tried installing the M100 codecs, no luck either, it appears that the software
codec is automatically installed with a fresh 8.2.3 install.

A problem I also have, if you could try in M100, (export from edit suite) ipod 320×240
I get a parameter error on all timelines.

Systems- dual mirror door and G5 2.7 dual with expansion, P6000’s
    Thanks

    Well I tried 8.2.3 on a G4 dual 1GB and a G5 dual 2.7 with expansion.
Both systems are 10.4.5 and QT 7.04.
Neither would export a short timeline to IPOD, both returned a parameter error.

I tried a reinstall back to QT 7.01 and a reinstall of the M100 software codecs. – no success

Another interesting issue is that I was previously able to get previews in AE 6.5 and 7.0 using
    the M100 720 out setting.
With 8.2.3 the preview out shows M100 available but not the 720 or 640 setting.

Reinstalled 8.2.2, QT 7.04 and software codecs and everything works fine.

    So much for 8.2.3
