I took After Effects Kickstart in 2018. Best thing I ever did for my career. I entered that class knowing almost nothing about After Effects. I am now a full-time motion design at a production studio. I want to take so many more classes, but price is holding me back. I still have access to everything from that class, too. I was able to finish in the 12 weeks while having a full-time job and a 2 year old, at the time.

Have you tried the Stroke effect? It uses masks for each letter to add a written-on effect. There are lots of YouTube tutorials to watch to learn how to use it.
