Excuse my ignorance as engineers have done this all for me in the past. This is probably a dumb question. Why do I need an I/O device? Can’t I just hook up a TV to my computer?

I’m not starting with SD video. I have HD footage and I’m finishing HD. My footage is XDCam EX 24p and I’m delivering DVCPro 1080i60. My client wants to make a medium shot into a close up and I was just wondering if this is okay to do. My gut says no.I just want to know how much I can scale the clip up in Scale. To 125? 150? 175?

Weird. So the files with the duplicated 4th frame actually look better. But, I have another strange question. When I exported the 24p files as DVCPro 29.97 files from FCP and got the duplicated 4th frame, the clip also ended about 10 seconds too soon. When I did it through compressor, I think the pull down was right but the clip now started late. What’s going on there?

Everything in the motion tab is fine. The footage is squished to 4:3.

Hi. I did this and still ended up with the 4th frame duplicating itself. Help!

Sorry. I know it sounds confusing. I reconnected all my 24p media clips to DVCPro media files. That worked fine except that all the footage is now squished left to right. Any thoughts?
