  • batch import DVCPro media into XDCAM EX sequence?

Posted by Lisa Olshanski on March 23, 2010 at 10:40 pm

I have a XDCAM EX 1080p24 sequence and I need it to be a DVCPro 1080i60 sequence. I have the same footage at DVCPro 1080i60. Is there a way to import it into my other sequence so I don’t have to re-cut everything. I have to deliver my FCP timeline to a network so exporting my sequence as DVCPro is not an option.

your post is a bit confusing you want xdcam as dvcpro but dvcpro is not an option??

If I read you correctly, you want the xdcam sequence to be a dvcpro sequence.

just change the sequence setting to dvcpro and render your timeline.

Sorry. I know it sounds confusing. I reconnected all my 24p media clips to DVCPro media files. That worked fine except that all the footage is now squished left to right. Any thoughts?

might need to go into the motion tab of each clip and see if its been
resized or squeezed. dvcpro is not full raster (xdcam is) so thats why thats happening

Everything in the motion tab is fine. The footage is squished to 4:3.

maybe go into the sequence setting and fiddle with the ratio there?

    just a guess.
