I’m on a mac book pro, with a 1Tb G-drive (non-raid) external…..I can’t install my OS on that, right?

Ok, well that sounds good, sending them as they are. I agree about the DVD’s, but I’m uncertain I’ll get back my “thumb drive”. I have a 16 gig which would work well, but.

What I ended up doing was cutting out the people from the background in photoshop, made 4 layers of them back into FCP. Lowered the opacity of the background. Then I altered each of the 4 people layers with prizm blur and channel changes, and staggered their time on the timeline and their wireframe position. Came out good. Thanks for the info!

Thank you for the info. No, she wasn’t on the shoot, but the ones who were, believe it’s possible too….which I find a bit disturbing. I’ve shot and keyed for green screen, and I know the difficulties there, with even having il-lit spots and shadows…..nevermind same colors. 😉

To add to the mysterious QT file, mine was a little different. I had previously worked on a project that required me to rip a DVD for some footage. I used the footage, no problem, it was fine. I delivered, ect. Months later they needed a change and I guess somewhere along the way the VOB files were deleted and I no longer had “access” to the quicktime mov, and couldn’t dump in final cut, and couldn’t reconnect my media. I converted it to DV, and reconnected the media, and everything worked fine.
Just figured I’d help the next guy. 🙂

hi, well I’m going to need it on a few different occasions for this one particular project, and one shoot will include being away for 6 days…….so the rental will grow large. Maybe I’ll search for a used Sennheiser on Ebay. Thanks.

Hi Todd and Ron, thanks so much for your input. I believe I agree, that for this one I should just borrow the XL1.
Ron, I’ll look into that process. I’ve done the 2 layers with the blur and the overlay or softlight, ect effects, and I think it looks awesome. I still want a new cam however, so I’m gonna hope for more gigs in the near future!
Oh, and as far as renting, I didn’t really include such a fee in the budget, but what do you think it would normally cost to rent something decent? I’m an hour and half from NY and Philly, so it’s not a major city.

Morning, and thanks for your responses (I visit the cow daily and love you guys :).
I was just looking at the footage again this morning, and noticed the only footage that was affected with the 59.94 frames was the first tape, and that was brought in later as a normal capture, not while the live shooting was going on, however the settings were still on non-controlled device while doing so….hence the issue of the framerate. So, all the other footage that was grabbed live is at the right frame rate in my browser settings, 23.98. Is this 59.94 making tape one look weird?? What are the resulting issues in a messed up FR? And can’t I just changed my sequence settings to fix that??
Besides the network issue with replacing footage using the timecode, do you see anything that would “ruin” the capture and quality of this footage? I will tell them today about how final cut does not display in crispness too. But I need to know if we need to recapture what we already have (because of quality), before I continue editing. Also, we are taping more today, and are set to do it the same way, directly into my macbook pro.

Hi, thanks for your responses. I’m not going from a Black logo, to a white logo, I’m going from some black with white tracking words, into a white logo.
