Ole,

I was wondering if 2704 x 1520 is supposed to give the more superior Youtube codec: vp9? You had mentioned 2560×1440 or UHD/4K.

I ask because I rendered at 2704 x 1520 and YouTube still stuck me with the avc1, and my drone footage looks deplorable. Are there other changes in the render settings I need to make to get vp9, such as changing the bit rate??

By the way, I am using 2704 x 1520 native footage, at 23.9fps.

Thank you! This is what I have been reading. Just wanted to run it by people on this forum. Because I have done most my learning by googling questions, I have made some assumptions, such as transcoding, which I did not need to worry about on Sony Vegas. Sooo…thanks.

What is the name of the plugin that would be a good addition to SV for coloring? The Boris Continuum Unit for Color and Tone?

And would you please point me to a place where I could properly learn to use the scopes and their corresponding FX tools? That would really help me a lot!

A follow up to your answers….

So I realize I can set the project settings…by this I mean, I am assuming that I can use 2K video and 1080p video together in both 1080p and 2k project settings?

But is it incorrect to render out a 1080p video in 2K because it will stretch it out too much?
