That’s nice to know. Will definitely upgrade. Held out as long as I could…same with my Sony PD 170 camera. Everyone else has switched to HD. Hope it still works okay with the new Vegas 12 – or is that asking too much?!

Hi – wow even the Vegas forum has changed drastically since I last used it. Now I’m not even sure who I’m responding to but hopefully everyone who replied will see this. Looks like I’ll have to upgrade, but I hate learning new software – this new Windows 8 is plenty . Thanks for all your replies – so much appreciated. I can see now that the problem is re. the compatibility issue that one of you mentioned and also that none of my other software, like Sony ACID or DVD Architect will no longer work. YOu guys rock!

Yes – I thought someone might say that, but not a techie and it took me long enough just to learn Vegas 5, which really did all I needed and more. Thanks:-)
