did you match project settings to the mxf files?
what camera generated them?

how are you ingesting the files?
use the proper software to bring the files into your computer. try catalyst browse which is free, or prepare which is paid for.

ex1 running v3 and using all sizes of sandisk ultra / extreme cards flawlessly.

why .mov?
mov based on old 32bit quicktime that’s so antiquated compared to more modern codecs. if anything you should be asking why not mxf, dnxhd, dnxhr, etc.,

just dl the free catalyst prepare – much better than the old browse…

have you tried ‘recuva’? or any other retrieval software?

why not try catalyst browse instead.
i’m using prepare (paid rather than free as browser is) with great success…

don’t know about mac, but the new FREE catalyst browse works well with my ex1 files, and a better though paid for version ‘prepare’ gives greater flexibility along with basic grading functions.
download both (trial of prepare) and give them a whirl. you’ve got nothing to lose other than data download and 20 minutes testing 😉
