  • Hi Daniel,

I experience the very same problem but found a workaround. I found that Bridge does not crash on video files when working in a workspace that doesn’t involve large thumbnails.

Before navigating to the video files folder, I switch to the Metadata workspace. Once Bridge has indexed the files (check the bottom left of the Bridge window), I can switch to a workspace that does involve large thumbnails (i.e. Light Table or Preview) without a problem.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Joe,

You are not alone, I have the same problem. Pixelated graphics when exporting to DnXHD but only on the red channel.

I now export graphics as Quicktime/ PNG (smaller files/ better quality than Animation codec) but if anyone has a clue on how to prevent this, I’m all ears!

    Hi Phil,

Here, Premiere Pro actually crashes when trimming or slipping nested sequences on the timeline. No problems with exporting though.

This started to happen all of a sudden and I’m still trying to figure out what is causing this. Anyone have a clue?

After Effects doesn’t even play back video files without rendering a preview of it first, let alone merge a live video feed with graphics in realtime. I’d be very surprised if what you want is going to work.

I think what you need is software that’s more catered towards live broadcasting and such. It may be worth looking into Avid’s solutions for that.

    Keep us posted please!

I was confused by that message as it can easily be misinterpreted.
It actually does not say that you should set it to Memory. It says that it is higly recommended to set it to Memory, as the Performance setting is meant for high performance systems only. I’ts merely a general warning.

When rendering previews, PPro only every utilized my 6-core 4930K up to about 43% and only about 12 of my 64GB RAM was used. Once I set it to Performance, PPro used up to 100% CPU and 47GB of RAM right away (I’ve set the memory usage to leave at least 24GB RAM for the system).

    I’m a happy camper now 🙂

I’m animating a pair of irregularly flapping wings and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to pair the rotation of one wing to the reverse value of the other!

Whenever I need that, I use Trapcode’s Starglow.
