    I’m running the 32-bit verison of Vegas, and I’ve had this issue ever since I got the product; from day one.

    I could try to change the render settings, but I don’t know very much about Vegas, and am unsure of what to change in order for it to work.

    [Stephen Mann] “As far as the error – it’s coming from Windows, not Vegas. It’s saying that Windows can’t create the output file. Vegas uses the TEMP folder during the encode, then when it is finished (100%), it writes the final file to your destination drive. If you have only one hard disk drive then you need at least 2X the final project size.”

    Thank you for explaining to me what the “error” message meant. I am truly grateful. Do you have any suggestions on how I can approach to fixing this error?

    Thank you for your help.

    The project file is a .M2TS I recored gameplay with my Happauge HD PVR, and that is the default file type. Sony Vegas is one of the only programs that can work with a .M2TS file.

    The project settings are

    Frame size 1280 width, and 720 height
    Frame rate 29.970 NTSC
    Number of reference frames is 4
    bps is 135,000,000
    Profile = Main

    The file I try to make is an AVC/AAC file.

    If you need more information on the settings let me know.

    Thank you so much for the help and for your quick response!
