    Thanks for your response. It worked! Unfortunately, my Powerbook stopped after 10 or so minutes saying there was not enough memory. I had over 30 gig available. Any ideas why FCP didn’t see that memory?

    I also ran into an issue with a gif with a client’s logo that had a transparent background. FCP didn’t recognize the transparency and just pushed white. I couldn’t figure out why this happened. When running the same gif in Sony Vegas 7.0 editing softare, transparency worked just fine. Any thoughts about this?

    Will that mean that the time code generated on the cameera will not be the same as what lays off to the G4?

    Yes. I’ve tried it both ways.
