Thank you so much for the quick answer…Right now Im experimenting with different kind layers and overlay effects… Im adding some directional blur and trying to smooth the overlaying layers with some masks.
If I succeed in doing some nice lighting effects I will post the material later on.
I will look into the plugin you suggested…
Thanks again!

I guess it is snow leopard that causes the problems?I don’t understand why people are talking about the new imac and After effects together. I thought that everything would work perfectly fine… Then everyone who bought an iMac and are going to use After Effects have to disable the opengl support when using After effects…
Thank you for fast reply…

I think I was able to track the problem. It seems that the second hdd makes AE crash.
If I change the cache and move my project files to the primary drive which is the windows drive the issues seems to dissapear.
I dont understand because the second disk should be ok, it is an seagate barracuda 1 tb.
Could the disk be damaged in some way , and cause these strange shutdowns in AE?

Thank you for caring.. But i never ran multiprocessing in AE… 🙁
And I have allocated 2,5 gb ram.It is really annoying when the program just crashes with different kind of error messages, I am so tired ot this computer- build. I just want AE to work , I am thinking about selling this one and buy another computer as I cant take all the crashes…

Thanks for the answer.
What is strange is that it happens quite seldom , I can work with big scenes, but suddenly after an hour the ae crashes, sometimes I can work one day without any crash.
But its really annoying when it happens…

What I meant by format are all the different kind of video -standards
like the DVCPRO50 , DVCPROHD, HDV and AVCHD. My computer setup and camera are both capable in handling these new formats but I am unsure how to work with them.“Just about anything. DV always stunk. If you did any chroma key work in DV, do you remember the fun? Well, the fun continues with HDV! Its color resolution is even a little bit crappier!”
Yes I remember, hehe. / But HDV standard seems a bit to extreme, the Lossless format in 1920x 1080 gets so huge it is impossble to store longer sequences on the hdd…

[Leo Lagerwall] “What are the most common formats people use these days? ”I’m not sure what you mean by “format” in this instance. 4×3? 16×9? HD/SD? A certain codec?
— Yes, do you know any good place on the internet that explain all these different formats?
