  • about what are u are talking it is logical, that’s why i acted like that. The movies wore captured in PREMIERE PRO then converted in MOV-DV 48 Khz with Mpegstream so they are self contained i belive.
I’ve imported them in FCP like native DV with the sequence set for PAL-DV 48 Khz. I’ve started editing, using different type of effects, rendered them with APPLE+R, sound was converted from mp3 in WAV 48 KHZ.
…i erased the render files then… (i wanned to explane my workflow), maybe it helps better 🙂 (and by the way THX alot guys, it’s nice that people like u exists)

  • … standing here an ideea just hit me. FCP must have somewhere a script where he keeps the log of renders, what if i can find that log and erase from there that piece of “memory” from where he knows that the phisical render files are there… i mean that i can fool him and then he will re-render whithout knowing that he rendered them some time ago… hmmm … that ofcours if the RENDER MANAGER can’t solve the problem..

  • working so much with PREMIERE PRO i guess my logic shaped after that workflow, so some parts of FCP does not match with PREMIERE logic if i can say that, but every problem MUST be a thing that will make us like humans be smarter and evolve… but getting back on earth now that project of mine is veeeeery big and i’m workin’ like 7 months on it…
so i have to fix it somehow… ohh.. sometimes it’s tooo much technology around … 🙂

  • hmmm it sounds intersting what you are saing, but how can FCP recognize something that phisically it’s not there?
i mean that i’m trying to look at the problem in a logical way, even if sometimes logic has no good ending 🙂
I appreciate ur kindness, i will come back with a feedback as soon as i get to work tomorrow 🙂 thx

well it’s not working like in premiere pro with the “work area”,
for ex. in PREMIERE PRO you can render between the work area bars, but here in FCP I copy that piece what i need to render in another timeline and render there, after i finsh the job recopy in the original timeline, is not that practical like in premiere but at my level this is how it works 🙂
