i dont know where to start.
how can i find all this information?
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 DUO CPU T8100 @ 2.10GHz 2.10GHz
3.00GB RAM ( how can i find the type )
32-bit operating system( i had my paging file on 3gb x 1.5 but i upscaled it to, 3gb x 2 )
( min and max are the same )i dont know how the ram is like if its 1 2gb and 1 1gb or 2 1gbs and 2 0.5gbs i couldnt say, how i can find this out.
if i can i would like to install more RAM what would be ideal? 4gb ram?5 gb ram? will this fix the problem at hand?

i managed to get a pic of the render of main project at 0% before the error, i think its related to system low on memory(suprise suprise) could i buy more ram, i have a 32 bit dell xps m1530 with dual core processor with 3 gb ram, if i can upgrade ram what would be ideal could i upgrade to 4gb ram 5gm ram? if so what and where i can i look for this.
i thinks its strange that i only get this error now even though i have rendered these projects many times before. could it be a memory leak? maybe defragment again, clean re-install (did this couple months back)
paging file is 6144

July 26, 2009 at 11:37 am in reply to: vegas has stopped working during render ( crashes, vegas 9 )Second, just to refresh my memory, are you using vp9 or vp9a? (Vp9a solves some rendering problems.)
-vp9aDynamic ram preview is set to zero?
-0, but i reset it back to 350 to se if it will stop the red images, now back at 0Reduce maximum number of rendering threads to 1?
-what it this? also i change between 1 and 4 makes no changeDefrag hard drives?
-yes used microsoft dianostics defragmentation tool to defrag drive
Set the initial and max swap/paging file size to 1.5 times the amount of ram you have (static swap file)?
-3gb ( 1024 x 3 ) 3072 – 3072 x 1.5 = 4608
-paging file was on 4608 min and max now reset to system managed? shall i change backReboot (to defrag paging file)?
-reboot is a restart i presume, yes have restarted many many times
Kill all unnecessary programs (such as AV)?
-cannot shut down bitdefender but can shut down sybot search and destroy
-i can open the large media file(the project)file,vp9a
-i can open new file with the new rendered files,vp9a
-i cannot put/import the new vegas files/rendered clips in the large meida file( the project) without getting the ‘not responding’ issue and clips go red. -

July 25, 2009 at 2:38 pm in reply to: vegas has stopped working during render ( crashes, vegas 9 )well, ive only just got your reply, but its fixed again i didnt do anything, it seemed to correct itself. crazy programme aint it, thanks anyway.
oh i do have a small problem now in my main project with all my clips i am editing them togther, but in my timeline the clips and preview screen will go red occasionally( sometimes black, but 90% of the time red) and the programme can run laggy and slugish, i just got system low on memory error but while editing, which is a first and fairly strange, are they going red due to some memory issues it can produce an image?.
thanks

July 24, 2009 at 7:36 pm in reply to: sony pro vegas 9 render error system low on memory!ive made a break through and have managed to render 10 clips without doing anything unusual, no ending processes just simply ram to 0 (like i always have it ) and somehow it just decided to work,
But!! now i have the problem again but its NOT always system low on error during the render it just stops and comes up with a large vergas has stopped working error message which gives you an option to write was you was doing at the time and send the report to sony,
i get this everytime i render now, but at diffrenet times it can be 10% or 20 % or anything but it usally stays in a small radius of the previous render zone , example last render error 17 %, this render error 20 % , new render error 15%, so i am thinking this could be related to the hard disk space available, i have 219GB free so it shouldnt be a problem.
so what is causing this, when i had the system is low on memory error it usally came in the 1% , i ocasionally still get the error message but at simiallar times to when the vegas has stopped working errors appear.
what is happening i need to complete the project by this week, so i have 2days to fix the error and complete, please help me, this is now offically driving me insane i just CANT figure out what is causing it, ive had problems before with rendering but this is definetly the worst like i said i was rendering fine a couple days ago with no changes.
i have posted some screenshots above.
